Village Board Minutes

January 17, 2024 (40)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held January 17, 2024 at 4:30 PM in the Village Hall, 244 Main Street.

Mayor Pasquarell called the meeting to order & led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Trustee Bedell, Trustee Brown, Trustee Halliday & Trustee Kelly were present.

 

Motion by Trustee Bedell, seconded by Trustee Brown, approved minutes of January 3, 2024 regular meeting as typed.
Carried – 4 – 0

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK-TREASURER – Clerk-Treas Colson was present, report for 1/17/2024 read & filed.

Motion by Trustee Brown, seconded by Trustee Halliday, approved payment of abstract #16 in the amount of: Payroll $46,086.17 (#0727); General $46,979.24 (#0728-0761; 0774-0775); Water $34,168.39 (#0758; 0761-0765; 0768; 0771; 0774); Sewer $ 34,570.55 (#0758-0761; 0763; 0766-0767; 0769-0771; 0774); Capital Projects $59,501.37 (#0772-0773; 0776); and HUD Housing             $5,694.60 (CK #1430).

Resolution #44 approved, budget transfers.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – report for 1/17/2024 read & filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none.

NEW BUSINESS

Resolution #45 approved establishing Village Hall (244 Main St) as polling place for the Village General Election March 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Resolution #46 approved, authorize mayoral signature on contract addendum with Laberge Group to provide engineering and bidding assistance for Heath Street & Hill Avenue Improvements; $146,800.

Consideration of proposal from MJ Burben to provide fire equipment grant writing services tabled.

Consideration of Volunteer Fire Infrastructure & Response Equipment grant application tabled.

Resolution #47 approved, the Village Board, as lead agency, determined the acquisition, financing and renovation of 97 Main Street (tax map #73.27-2-1.1) will not have a significant adverse impact on the environment and issued a negative declaration.

Resolution #48 approved, mayoral signature on purchasing agreement for 97 Main Street (tax map #73.27-2-1.1) upon attorney review; $695,000.

BOARD COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS

Trustee Kelly thanked the Village Hall for a continuous leak letter alerting her to a water leak at her home.
