Village Board Minutes

October 19, 2022 (25)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held October 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Firehouse, 16 Saratoga Avenue.

Mayor Pasquarell called the meeting to order & led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call:  Trustee Bedell, Trustee Coltrain & Trustee Halliday were present.  Trustee Brown was excused.

Motion by Trustee Bedell, seconded by Mayor Pasquarell, approved minutes of the October 5, 2022 regular meeting as typed.
Carried – 4 – 0

CORRESPONDENCE – none.

PUBLIC COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS (AGENDA ITEMS ONLY) – none.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK-TREASURER – Clerk-Treas Colson was present, report for 10/19/2022 read & filed.

Motion by Trustee Coltrain, seconded by Trustee Bedell, approved payment of abstract #9 in the amount of: Payroll $48,582.71 (#0386); General $64,051.89 (#0387-0419; 0436); Water $5,206.65 (#0413; 0419-0424; 0436); Sewer $8,722.29 (#0413; 0417-0418; 0423-0433; 0436); and Capital Projects $4,731.75 (#0434-0435).
Carried – 3- 0

FIRE DEPARTMENT – Chief Kelley was excused.

DPW/WATER/WWTP – Supt Lozier was present.

DPW will be blacktopping White St Tuesday and Wednesday.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – Insp Hepner was present, report for 10/19/2022 read & filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none.

NEW BUSINESS

Atty Buettner submitted a draft training reimbursement policy to the Board for their review.

Supt Lozier presented contradictions in the Village Code concerning parking on Maple Street.  After discussion and recommendation from Supt Lozier, the Board instructed Atty Buettner to prepare a Local Law amending the Code to prohibit parking on Maple Street from Main Street to Saratoga Ave on both sides.

Resolution #35 approved, hiring of Damien Meade as MEO with a starting date of October 24, 2022; $19.45 per hour.
