Village Board Minutes

July 1, 2020 (5)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held July 1, 2020 at 6:00 PM via videoconference.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustee Kelly & Trustee Pasquarell were present.  Trustee Enekes was delayed & Trustee Halliday was excused.

Motion by Trustee Pasquarell, seconded by Trustee Kelly, approved minutes of June 17, 2020 regular meeting as typed.
Carried – 3 – 0

CORRESPONDENCE

Trustee Enekes arrived at 6:05PM.

Kendra Schieber, Adirondack Center Stage, wrote the Board requesting use of the Pagenstecher Park pavilion for several dates for her theater workshop.   The pavilion at the park is currently closed due to COVID-19 concerns, the Board denied the request.

The Board instructed Supt Lozier to have the tables at the park removed to comply with social distancing guidelines.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK/TREASURER – Clerk-Treas Colson was present, report for 7/1/2020 filed.

Motion by Trustee Enekes, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, approved payment of abstract #2: Payroll $52,883.52; General $37,675.50; Water $14,287.58; Sewer $6,164.09; and Capital Reserves $135,125.72.
Carried – 3 – 0

FIRE DEPARTMENT – Chief Kelley was present, report for June filed.

Chief Kelley stated the firefighters have received their annual harassment & Lyme disease training.

DPW/WATER/WWTP – Supt Lozier was present, report filed.

Supt Lozier explained a low water pressure situation at Dr. Herzlinger’s office resulting from the East National Water meter installation.  Supt Lozier has received a quote on remediating the situation by installing a 2-inch service line and new meter pit to restore the doctor’s original pressure.

Motion by Trustee Pasquarell, seconded by Trustee Enekes, approved parts and meter install to restore pressure to 400 Palmer Avenue as part of the water project.
Carried – 4 – 0

BUILDING INSPECTOR – Insp Hepner was present, report for 7/1/2020 filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none.

NEW BUSINESS

Motion by Trustee Pasquarell, seconded by Trustee Kelly, approved publication of Request for Proposals regarding the CDBG grant to be received by 4:00 PM August 3, 2020.
Carried - 3 – 0

Motion by Trustee Enekes, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, approved publication of bid opening date for the Sewer Relining Project as August 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Village Hall.
Carried – 4 – 0
