Village Board Minutes

June 3, 2020 (1)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held June 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM via videoconference.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustee Halliday & Trustee Pasquarell were present.  Trustee Enekes & Trustee Kelly were excused.

Motion by Trustee Halliday, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, approved minutes of May 20, 2020 regular meeting as typed.
Carried – 3 – 0

CORRESPONDENCE – none.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK/TREASURER – Clerk-Treas Colson was present, report for 6/3/2020 read & filed.

Motion by Mayor Morreale, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, approved payment of abstract #24: Payroll $42,285.00; General $57,201.56; Water $5,554.09; Sewer $10,753.71; and Capital Reserves $207,057.62.
Carried – 3 – 0

Resolution #1 approved, budget transfers.

FIRE DEPARTMENT – Chief Kelley was present, report for May 2020 filed.

DPW/WATER/WWTP – Supt Lozier was present, report for May 2020 filed.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – Insp Hepner was present, report for 6/3/2020 filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none

NEW BUSINESS

Resolution #2 approved, purchase of new John Deere grader from Nortrax at NYS contract pricing minus $22,000 trade allowance on old grader; total price $177,744.00.

Discussion of purchase of 2020 Chevy Tahoe tabled.

The Board discussed possible firework display for Labor Day.  Decision tabled until the Mayor can confer with Supervisor Lucia.

Resolution #3 approved, appointment of Dianne Hull to Planning Board for a term expiring June 2025.

The Board discussed safety measures that must be in place at Village Hall under State guidelines such as social distancing markers, and requiring visitors to wear masks.

Motion by Mayor Morreale, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, to re-open the Village Hall to the public Wednesday, June 10, 2020 upon creation of a Re-Opening Plan.
Carried – 3 – 0

Motion by Mayor Morreale, seconded by Trustee Pasquarell, the DPW garage is only open to the public by appointment effective immediately.
Carried – 3 – 0

BOARD COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS

Trustee Pasquarell inquired if the pricing for the Tahoe would be held, Chief Kelley stated it would.

Mayor Morreale assigned Trustee Halliday to determine locations for the radar speed signs with Supt Lozier.

Motion by Trustee Pasquarell, seconded by Trustee Halliday, that Board adjourn, 6:33 PM.
