A special meeting, budget workshop, of the Village Board was held March 14, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Village Hall, 244 Main Street.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno, Trustee Halliday & Trustee Kelly were present.  Trustee Enekes was excused.

Clerk-Treas Colson detailed the items for consideration in the 2018/2019 budget.  The Board instructed Clerk-Treas Colson to keep the tax rate the same as the previous year ($4.95 per thousand); issue no salary increases to the Board; and include a contribution to DPW reserves in anticipation of future equipment purchases.

Chief Kelley was present and informed Board members of changes to his preliminary budget requests totaling a $90,000 reduction in fire department budget.  The Board discussed potential decreases in detail and thanked Chief Kelley for the significant reduction.  The Village Board approved the proposed fire department budget and asked Chief Kelley to present the fire budget to the Town Board as soon as possible.  Chief Kelley stated he would be ready to present the budget to the Town Board at their March 22^nd meeting.  Clerk-Treas Colson will contact Supervisor Lucia in order to reserve room on his agenda.

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Kelly, that Board adjourn, 7:20 PM.
