NEW BUSINESS

Chief Kelley & Asst Chief Granger presented the proposed 2017/2018 fire department budget.  Requests include approximately $20,000 increase in budget lines for turnout gear & scuba gear to replace old equipment.  A reserve request of $150,000 was proposed in order to put toward the purchase of replacing a 23 year-old tanker truck (ETA-211) used mainly for calls in the Town and surrounding areas.  The Board discussed the fire department’s request in great detail & requested that there be some reductions to a few of the budget lines.  The fire department will submit updated numbers for consideration.

Chief Kelley also recommended several security enhancements be made at the Village Hall.  Clerk-Treas Colson is gathering estimates for potential improvements.
