Village Board Minutes

July 2, 2014 (6)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held July 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the firehouse, 16 Saratoga Avenue.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno, Trustee Enekes, and Trustee Saunders were present.  Trustee Halliday was excused.

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Saunders, approved minutes of regular meeting June 18, 2014 as typed.
Carried – 3 – 0

CORRESPONDENCE

Corinth Community Churches requested permission to use the beach for the August 10 “Down by the Riverside” event.  The Board approved the request with the proper insurance certificate and hold harmless agreement.

PUBLIC COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS – none.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK/TREASURER – Clerk/Treas Colson was present, report for 7/2/14 read & filed.

Resolution #14 approved, adjustment to water/sewer rolls.

Motion by Trustee Enekes, seconded by Trustee Saunders, approved payment of abstract #2: Payroll $33,125.54; General $80,695.13; Water $25,749.84; Sewer $17,054.75; Capital Reserves $13,108.51; and Community Development $17,200.00.
Carried – 3 – 0

Resolution #15 approved, budget transfers.

FIRE DEPARTMENT – Chief Kelley was present, report for June 2014 read & filed.

Mass Casualty Incident training will be held in August, Chief Kelley invited the Board to attend and see the Fire Department in action.

DPW/WATER/WWTP – Supt Lozier was present.

Supt Lozier will be looking into having someone slip line the pipe at the Upper Reservoir; it is not an item the contractor for the remediation is responsible to correct.  Supt Lozier will try to coordinate that slip lining with the potential lining of a pipe on Hamilton Ave that is in need of repair.

The new connection for the six inch water line on Warren St has been installed.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – Insp Berg was excused, report for 7/2/14 read & filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none.

NEW BUSINESS

Resolution #16 approved, standardwork day & reporting for appointed officials in NYS Retirement System.

PUBLIC COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS – none.

BOARD COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS – none.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion by Trustee Saunders, seconded by Trustee Enekes, that Board adjourn to executive session as requested by Mayor Morreale to discuss matters leading to the discipline, suspension or dismissal of a particular employee, 6:15 PM
Carried – 3 – 0

At 6:52 PM, the Board reconvened, with no action taken in executive session.

Motion by Trustee Saunders, seconded by Trustee Enekes, that Board adjourn, 6:52 PM.
