Village Board Minutes

March 9, 2011 (44)

A special workshop meeting of the Village Board was held March 9, 2011 at 6:00 PM in the Village Hall, 244 Main Street.

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno, Trustee Densmore, Trustee Enekes, and Trustee Lescault were present.

Also Present: Atty Auffredou, Supt Lozier, Asst Fire Chiefs Kevin Granger and Steve Denton II, and Clerk-Treasurer Colson.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno approved closed session of the Board with Village Attorney for the purpose of discussing attorney/client privileged matters and receiving legal advice.
Carried – 4 – 0

At 6:55 the Board reconvened in open session.

At 6:55 PM Atty Auffredou was excused.

Assistant Fire Chiefs Granger & Denton presented the Fire Department’s budget requests to the Board.  The proposed budget for the Fire Department was $12,600 less than the 2010/2011 budget.  No major expenditures were planned.  Asst Chiefs Granger and Denton were excused at 7:30 PM.

Supt Lozier presented the proposed DPW budget, including water & sewer, to the Board.  Major purchases include a sidewalk snowblower and a new truck for the waste Water Treatment Plant.  Supt Lozier was excused at 8:00 PM.

Clerk-Treas Colson outlined several increases in the proposed budget in the health insurance and retirement lines as well as the replacement of several windows at the Village Hall.  Clerk-Treas Colson also outlined projected increases in revenue and the items in the budget that were still tentative.  Clerk-Treas Colson stated a complete tentative budget would be presented at the March 16 board meeting.

Mayor Winslow requested an executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular unnamed employee.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Enekes approved adjournment to executive session as requested by Mayor Winslow above, 9:00 PM.
Carried – 4 – 0

At 9:35 PM the Board reconvened with no action taken.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Enekes that Board adjourn, 9:35 PM.
