A budget workshop of the Village Board was held February 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM in the Village Hall, 244 Main St.

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno, Trustee Densmore, Trustee Enekes & Trustee Lescault were present.

Also Present: Supt Lozier & Clerk/Treas Colson

Clerk/Treas Colson presented some very preliminary figures for the 2010/2011 budget and the Board discussed various line items and options for potential cost savings.  There is no estimate on health insurance numbers and the garbage collection contract is out to bid. 

The Board discussed the current contract with the Sheriff’s Department and possibilities of cost savings.  Mayor Winslow will discuss possible options with Sheriff Bowen for the Board to consider.

Supt Lozier presented preliminary figures for the DPW, Water & Sewer budgets.  Supt Lozier stated an employee at the Waste Water Treatment Plant may be retiring in 2010 and that Asst Supt Holmes would be filling his place.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno that Board adjourn, 11:50 AM.
