Village Board Minutes

January 22, 2007 (57)

A special meeting of the Village Board was held Jan 22, 2007 at 6:00 PM in the Village Hall, 260 Main Street.

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order.

Present: Trustee Pauline Densmore, DPW Supt Art Lozier, Michael N’Dolo of Camoin, Mayor Brad Winslow, & Trustee Melanie Denno

Michael N’Dolo discussed the steps we need to take in regards to the GOSC money designated for Jessup’s Landing Park.
            1)            Hire an engineer
            2)            Hire out the actual construction work

Pauline reviewed the Local Water Front Revitalization grant that we have been told we were awarded.  Michael N’Dolo will review with Andy Labruzo of Dept of Coastal Resources and report back to committee.   The LWFR match is 50%.

At this point there is $10,000 of funds from GOSC for engineering and approximately $18,000 from LWFR.

Information we still need:
            1)   Drawings from Saratoga Associates of JLC building.
            2)   Dimensions of buildings from Saratoga Associates
            3)   Fax a copy of LWFR application to Michael
            4)   Figure out the amount the Village will contribute in cash
            5)   What the DPW involvement will be.
Demolition of the building was discussed.
            6)   When the LWFR money is available
            7)    Do we need an environmental review?

Michael reported the GOSC money is now available.

Art Lozier discussed demolition of the building, excavation, site prep and to install the new sign.  To be discussed again at a later date.

Contractors will need to pay employees prevailing wage.

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Densmore that Board adjourn, 7:00 PM.
Carried – 3 – 0

Respectfully Submitted,
Melanie Denno
