A budget work meeting of the Board of Trustees was held Feb 22, ’06 at 6:00PM in the firehouse, 16 Saratoga Ave.

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Trustees Denno, Densmore, and Woods were present.

Also present: Treas Fuller, Clerk Colson, Supt Lozier, Fire Chief Kelley, and Assistant Fire Chief Steve Denton.

Mayor Winslow announced that there would be a special joint board meeting of the Town and Village Boards on Monday Feb. 27 at 6:00PM in the firehouse to discuss and critique the response to the power outage.

NEW BUSINESS

The Board discussed the current restriction on overnight parking on Village streets and how exceptions could be made for special circumstances.  After much discussion the Board decided to ask the Atty and Police Dept for input, no decisions were made.

Motion by Trustee Densmore, seconded by Trustee Woods approved attendance by Bill Kloss at a training session given by NY Rural Water Association at the Prime Hotel in Saratoga Springs at the cost of $390.
Carried – 3 – 0

Treas Fuller proceeded to review the budget in two different versions, one resulting in an 18.6% tax increase and one resulting in a 10.02% tax increase.

Motion by Trustee Woods, seconded by Trustee Densmore that Board adjourn, 7:55PM.
