Village Residents,

Last night at our Village Board meeting, Sue Commanda, CEO of the Hudson River Community Credit Union announced their plans to build a new $2.8 million Operations Center. The credit union will be purchasing 10 acres of IP property off Third Street on the west side of the IP property adjacent to Pagenstecher Park.  The credit union is planning a 16,000 square foot two-story building that will initially house new office space for 40 employees with ample room for future expansion.  Sue stated that she hopes that construction can be started as early as August of this year. We thank Sue and the HRCCU board for their commitment to locate their new headquarters here in our Village and pledge to do whatever is possible to help them expedite their plans.

IP officials have reported that hazardous material cleanup of the former Mill buildings is almost complete and that demolition of the buildings will start in the next few months. We believe that IP’s demolition and cleanup plans will be instrumental in the remarketing of the site for new business development and see this as a positive step in bringing new industry and jobs back to Corinth.
