A special meeting of the Village Board was held March 13, 2015 at 6:00PM in the Village Hall, 244 Main Street to discuss the 2015/2016 budget.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order.

Roll Call:  Trustee Denno, Trustee Halliday and Trustee Saunders were present.  Trustee Enekes was excused.
Also present: Nicole M. Colson, Clerk-Treasurer.  Chief Kelley arrived at 6:30 PM and was excused at 7:30 PM.

The Board discussed in detail the potential purchases to be made in the 2015/2016 budget.  The Board proposed keeping the Village tax rate at $5.49 and increasing the water/sewer rents to pay for major improvements recently made to the system.

Major expenditures discussed include a contribution to the fire department reserves of $240,000 in order to purchase a new engine rescue; an expenditure of $134,000 to install above ground fuel tanks at the DPW garage; $150,000 for the purchase of a sidewalk plow; and an increase in the water fund of $50,000 to purchase an excavator.  The Board also discussed salary increases for employees with no increase to the Village Board salaries.

Clerk-Treas Colson will be presenting the tentative budget to the Board at the March 18 regular Board meeting.

Motion by Trustee Saunders, seconded by Trustee Halliday, that Board adjourn, 8:50 PM.
