Village Board Minutes

August 8, 2008 (19)

A special meeting of the Village Board was held August 8, 2008 at 8:00 AM in the Village Hall.

Mayor Winslow called the meeting to order.

Roll Call: Trustees Denno, Densmore, Enekes & Lescault
Also Present: Treas Bellinger & Clerk Colson

The flow meter at the WWTP is no longer printing the correct flow line into the plant; this information must be recorded and submitted to the DEC.  Supt Lozier submitted a request to the Board to purchase a new flow meter, as an emergency expense for $6,145.00 from Burgh Schoenenberger.  The company also quoted Supt Lozier a reduced price of $1,500 to install a flow chart recorder at the River St pumping station which would allow the WWTP operators to track high flows and determine which end of the Village they are from.

Resolution #31 approved, purchase of flow meter & flow chart recorder for waste water system, $7,645.00.

The Village has been notified that we did not receive the Small Cities grant that we applied for.

Mayor Winslow stated that one of the properties on Main St has been pumped out and he is still waiting to hear from Dr. Pitkin and the Bldg Insp.

Mayor Winslow requested an executive session to discuss the employment history of two particular people and matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno approved adjournment to executive session as requested by the Mayor above, 8:15 AM.
Carried – 4 – 0

At 8:40 AM, with no action taken in executive session, the Board reconvened.

Resolution #32 approved, Karl Bellinger’s salary as Treasurer be $37,000 for the remaining 08/09 fiscal year.

Resolution #33 approved, Nicole M. Colson be granted an additional 5 days vacation for 08/09 fiscal year.

Motion by Trustee Lescault, seconded by Trustee Denno that Board adjourn, 8:45 AM.                 Carried – 4 – 0
