Village Board Minutes

June 18, 2014 (4)

A regular meeting of the Village Board was held June 18, 2014 at 6:00 PM in the firehouse, 16 Saratoga Avenue.

Mayor Morreale called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Trustee Denno and Trustee Halliday were present.  Trustee Enekes and Trustee Saunders were excused.

Motion by Trustee Halliday, seconded by Trustee Denno, approved minutes of public hearing and regular meeting June 9, 2014 as typed.
Carried – 3 – 0

PUBLIC COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & CONCERNS – none.

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

CLERK/TREASURER – Clerk/Treas Colson was present, report for 6/18/2014 read & filed.

Resolution #10 approved, adjustment to water/sewer rolls.

Motion by Trustee Denno, seconded by Trustee Halliday, approved payment of abstract #1: Payroll $34,975.86; General $455,612.89; Water $689.37; Sewer $4,264.09; Capital Reserves $576,912.22; Community Development $7,815.00.
Carried – 3 – 0

Clerk-Treas Colson requested an executive session to discuss the employment history and matters leading to the appointment of a particular person.

Motion by Trustee Halliday, seconded by Trustee Denno, that Board adjourn to executive session as requested by Clerk-Treas Colson above, 6:05 PM.
Carried – 3 – 0

At 6:10 PM the Board reconvened with no action taken in executive session.

FIRE DEPARTMENT – Chief Kelley was present.

Motion by Trustee Halliday, seconded by Trustee Denno, approved Fire Department coin drop to be held August 1 – August 3 in front of the firehouse.
Carried – 3 – 0

DPW/WATER/WWTP – Supt Lozier was present.

The filtration plant should be operational around June 26-27.  The DPW will be completing some of the work to correct the drainage issues and CT Male will submit change orders for anything additional.

BUILDING INSPECTOR – Insp Berg was present, report for 6/18/2014 read & filed.

OLD BUSINESS – none.

NEW BUSINESS

Resolution #11 approved, correction of tax bill, map #74.29-1-24 due to error calculating exemptions.

Resolution #12 approved, acceptance of resignation of Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Alice Lissow with thanks and appreciation, effective June 30, 2014.

Resolution #13 approved, appointment of Diane Williams as Deputy Clerk-Treasurer as of July 1, 2014 at an annual salary of $27,755.
